Hey everyone,
regarding some money matters for red cross

1. Bring $15 for the new water bottles by the next meeting ( 2nd July 2009).

Remarks : We, the secthrees would be collecting money from everyone first before the purchase of the bottles so although you all would be paying the  money on 2nd July 2009, you all would only receive the bottles on the next meeting (9th July 2009). The people who would be going to collect the bottles would be wen qian, linda, faeqa and ami.

2. Bring $10 for the new SCRCY shirt.

3. Sell the red cross tickets as soon as possible and bring the money to pass to miss hing by 2nd July 2009.

4.So, basically, in total, they would need to bring $25 altogether (excluding the money for tickets)

Any question please ask your secthrees or june camp group I/Cs

Love,
Carolyn

Hey guys, I am sure you know that the Passing Out Ceremony for Michelle Ma'am's batch of NCOs is in the first week of August. So, for each level, please appoint your own POC I/C. That POC I/C has to rally your own level to think of a song and gifts for the NCOs. The song must be a very heart felt one (I think you know why) and that entire level must come up with their own practice dates to practise singing the song as a level. As for the gifts, come up with standardised but can still be personalised *gifts for every of the 13 NCOs and it can be anything, as long as it comes from your hearts. As for the cost of the gifts, please split it equally among your levels. Last but not least, please tell my level who is the POC I/C for each level, so as to facilitate better communication. Any problem, please contact any of my level. Thank you.

Regards,
Wen Qian.

*For e.g., you are writing a postcard to every NCO, the psotcard has to be the same for everyone's but each of the NCO's name can be written there, so as to make it personalised.

Hey guys, you all have done a really great job for June Camp 2009. Especially the new recruits, though you were quite uncomfortable during the first day of camp, however, I could see that you all began to show more discipline, especially in terms of sense of urgency, and also, began to be more enthusiastic about everything from the second day onwards. I am glad that you have enjoyed yourselves and I am really proud of you all. As for the Sec 2s, you all have done a great job co-operating with your Sec 3s and I see this as the beginning of your leadership in time to come. Last but not least, I hope that after this camp, all of you will be more bonded with your levelmates and feel the sense of belonging to SCRCY. Let us all keep the spirit of SCRCY going, yeahs?

Regards,
Wen Qian.

Hey all I have uploaded the standardisation stuff here. Please click on the image above to enlarge it. And PLEASE, check that all your items are properly standardised.

Hey all, you are allowed to bring insect repellent if you need. Put it in Zip Lock 5. Oh and because there have been quite a lot of updates here, please check the archives regularly in cause you miss out anything. Thank you.

ATTENTION:

If you do not have enough P.E. shorts, you are allowed to wear white-based shorts!

Regards,
Wen Qian.

9:50 PM
Hey all, standardised stationery is 1 black pen, 1 blue pen, 1 pencil and 1 eraser.

Regards,
Wen Qian.

4:48 PM
Hey all, if you do not have enough P.E. shirts, then you are allowed to replace it with any white-based shirt. For the Sec 2s, the SCRCY shirt is considered a white-based shirt so, you may use that. However, if you do not have enough P.E. shorts, please try to borrow from your friends. If you really can't get any, get in touch with your group i/c ASAP. Thank you!

And I have noticed some Sec 2s are quite confused over how they should pin their badges on their uniforms. So, here's some basic rough idea but if you still can't get it, you may ask any Sec 3s for help.

As a rule of thumb, each row should only have a maximum of 4 badges and each and every badge should be properly aligned and there should be EQUAL spaces in between. The badges should touch each other and there should be NO overlapping.
Regards,
Wen Qian.

Dear Sec 2s,

This is a reminder for ALL of you: learn up on your reporting procedures, including things such as UI, Water Parade and Firedrill.

TO EVERYONE ELSE: click the archive that contains posts in June for the June Camp packing list.

Linda

Hey all, note that you will be dismissed at 6.00 p.m. sharp on the last day of camp. Thank you.

Wen Qian.

Saturday, June 6, 2009 10:35 PM
Hey guys, by right, you all are not allowed to know what is going on for camp but since some of you had gone to ask the NCOs about it, then the Sec 3s have no choice but to divulge our plans. And, you all are NOT allowed to ask the NCOs about such matters in the first place because firstly the Sec 3s are the ones responsible for this camp and secondly, as a rule in SCRCY, for trivial matters as such, you all are to ask your Sec 3s, not NCOs because the latter, as you know, are very busy preparing for their O'Levels now and do not need such disturbance from juniors asking what is going on for camp. So, I hope in the future, you all will co-operate more with your Sec 3s. Thank you.

I am the I/C for Day 3 of camp and we are doing Physical Training, Hiking-cum-Litter Picking, Lessons and Recreation. That's all, for the exact details, you guys will have to wait till the camp itself.

Thank you.

-Wen Qian.

7:53 PM
Dear All,

Please be reminded that for June Camp, you will still be using your Coke bottles and the bubble rule (small or no bubble) still applies.

More information on the Nalgene bottles will be disseminated to you at a later date. Do remember to ask your parents about it. Refer to the post on bottles for more details.

Thank you.

Regards,
Linda

hello, basically for day 2 of red cross camp, we will have PT and recreation. We will also have Chinatown clean-up which is a combined activity with St Margaret's. For this activity, only the sec 1s, sec 2s and sec 3s scholars as well as Mabel and Evanne will be participating in. We will also have a campfire at night where we invited ex-NCOs to come back and join us. That's all, the rest you will find out during camp.

3:53 PM
Dear All,

Due to the harmful nature of chemicals in plastic bottles, SCRCY has decided to have a new, standardised plastic water bottle that is to be used in place of the Coke bottle.

The current bottle in mind is a 1-litre Nalgene water bottle. We are ordering the bottles in bulk, and each bottle will cost around $15.00-$16.00. Do ask your parents and obtain their approval before getting back to your respective level I/Cs.

Sec One Level I/C: Alyssa Tjioe
Sec Two Level I/C: Nadira Rafeek
Sec Three Level I/C: Deborah Tan YC

Should your parents express any concerns regarding this matter, contact your level I/Cs immediately. Level I/Cs are to collate all your levelmates' responses, whether their parents agree or not, and get back to me by SUNDAY 7.00 P.M. Should any of your levelmates be uncontactable during this period of time (i.e. they are overseas, or for any other unknown reasons), collate a list of their names and give it to me, and this should also be done by
SUNDAY 7.00 P.M.

Assure your parents that should they have any concerns regarding this matter, these concerns will be taken into account before we make any purchase of the bottles
. Also, do note that the price of $15.00 - $16.00 is not the finalised price of the bottles.

If you do encounter any problems or if you need to clarify certain things with me, you can always e-mail or SMS me.

Regards,
Linda
