Hi New Recruits!
So basically camp is on Wednesday and Thursday so we need to prepare you for it! Ok, just follow the instructions and you should be fine. Any questions don’t hesitate to sms or call your Group ICs or Sec 3 Seniors J.

*Do not come before 7.30am unless you really have to, but please try to come by 7.45am because we have to report at 8am

Anything you want to tell us just tag or something ok. i'll reply.

3 Simple Ways That Will Help You Survive Camp:
1. Always have a sense of urgency – RUN
2. Don’t complain, it won’t help instead encourage each other!
3. Try to be as happy as possible

What to expect for camp:
Ok, remove and clear all your expectations. What you need to know is that during camp, is that it will be physically tiring and probably mentally challenging. It isn’t so bad! YOU WILL SURVIVE IT.JYou will be running around, having class and playing games and fire drills. Everything we do will have a time limit to train us on our sense of urgency. So remember to have a sense of urgency at all times and we will be able to keep time well.

Fire Drills:
For fire drills, it is very important to have a sense of urgency!(RUN!) So whenever you hear a continuous short whistle blows, it means there is a fire drill.

What you do: take out your bandages (be sure it is in an accessible place, after bag check) Run towards the sound of the whistle blow and fall in (squad).

What a fire drill is: A fire drill is an emergency exercise where we are qualified first aiders and we find casualty’s (who are played by our NCOs) around a restricted area and treat them and evacuate them to the First Aid Base (where we assembled at first). In a fire drill, we move as groups. So you will follow your group ics.

What you do: since you haven’t learnt much about First aid what you do is reassure the casualties. It is important to do so such we can provide effective treatment. All you have to do is just talk to them and distract them from their ‘injuries’ and assure them that they are safe.

Mealtimes!
During our meals, we will be at the canteen, but before we can eat we need to cheer the Tick Tock Cheer. Memorize it!

Tick Tock Cheer: (Shout it out)
Tick tock, tick tock, we must eat.
One day 3 meals, cannot miss.
Eat already keep us fit.
Permission to carry on ma’ams! (Shour REALLY REALLY LOUD here)

Then when the NCO says carry on, you can start to eat.

Instructions:
1. Print out your Labels
2. Label you spoon, plate, coke bottle by following the drawn diagrams
3. Coke bottles need to be labelled with new CAMP labels which are attached.
4. It doesn’t have to be perfect!
5. Do not bring things that are not listed on the packing list

Love,
Chloe
